October 2010 - Team 3 preparing to leave for Kenya for our last trip and bridge completion!

September 2010 - Team 2 leaves for Kenya

August 2010 - Team 1 leaves for Kenya

July 2010 - Awarded over $12,000 in air fare from Emirates Airlines 

May 2010 - Awarded $5000 from American Society of Civil Engineers 

April 2010 - Received design approval from EWB-USA Technical Advisory Committee

April 2010 - Awarded $512 from South Orange County Women's Networking Group

March 2010 - Submitting final bridge design for approval

February 2010 - Raised $545 at our Engineering Mixer!

December 2009 - The project was awarded $12,000 from the ERM (Environmental Resources Management) Foundation!

December 2009 - We are currently in the design phase and are simultaneously fundraising to meet the projected budget of $37,500 for the construction of the bridge and travel costs.

June 2009 - EWB-OC’s volunteer team conducted an assessment trip in June 2009.  As a  result, we have reached the following milestones:

1. Developed relationships with the community
2. Gathered health data through one-on-one interviews with community members
3. Surveyed completing our preliminary technical report
4. Documented availability and price of local material and skilled labor
5. Designed two preliminary bridges with corresponding budget estimates with the help of B2P (Bridges to Prosperity)
